INTERIOR ARCHITECTURE AND DESIGN

THE BRITISH INSTITUTE OF INTERIOR DESIGN CHALLENGE
THE BRIEF
Since the coronavirus pandemic, ways of working have changed for many companies and individuals, allowing more people to work remotely. This paired with the fact that house prices continue to rise in urban areas, has seen people looking to move out of cities and into rural or semi-rural areas for a better lifestyle. The client is looking to create a dynamic new development from an old nursing home in Whitby in Yorkshire that needs to attract people who would like to live in a less populated area, but not miss out on aspects of city-living they are accustomed too.

Design a co-living and co-working building for a variety of residents that promotes wellbeing, inclusivity, and sustainability.
